Pure Goosebumps and another shout-out to all those so incredibly passionate about music. In a meadow in the northern Italian town of Cesena dozens of drummers on their instruments joined masses of guitarists while hundreds sang along: Impressive in tune and synch a total of one thousand people interpret the most famous song of the US rock band Foo Fighters, "Learn to Fly ".
All of this happened with a simple request in mind: May the band finally come back to the nearly 100,000-inhabitant city and give a second concert. After all it has been 18 years since good citizens of Cesena last heard Foo Fighters live in their home town.
Leading up to the story is a year of hard work, as the initiator Fabio Zaffagnini says at the end of the video. In order to realize the project "Rockin'1000", he organized a crowdfunding campaign and acquired more than 40,000 euros that were sufficient to make this happen.
The video has been going viral on the Internet since yesterday and has seen over four million clicks already. No wonder that the message has reached the band loud and clear: "Ci vediamo a presto, Cesena", twittered Dave Grohl, the Foo Fighter´s lead singer promptly. "I'll see you soon, Cesena".
Some time is still likely to go by until the concert. Until the concert but is likely to take some time: Grohl has a broken leg since an accident at a concert in Gothenburg. As a result, band then had to cancel their European tour. Avere un po 'di pazienza, Cesena, have a little patience.
